Three-part, video focussed advertising campaign.

Mobiles.co.uk required a display and social advertising campaign for the Black Friday period and set us ambitious KPI of 1,000,000 views overall. We came up with the ‘Deal Envy’ campaign and designed the branding, directed and produced three beautiful TV quality video ads, built rich-media display units and created various online collateral helping us reach an impressive 2,000,000+ views in total.

Over the production of the three videos my role was DIT and data wrangling. Being on set and working simultaneously with the production stage meant that I was able to provide graded play-back for the Director and DOP, and cut rough sequences live. Working efficiently and responsively on location meant the edits came together quickly, offering more time for refinement later in post-production.

Shortened versions and mobile aspect ratios were also produced for social media outreach.

The Grades.

Each ad, although following similar plot themes, were very different to the last aesthetically. It was important to emphasise the DOP’s set lighting and design of the scenes. Therefore, three different colour palettes were used but they all followed the same vain of heavily saturated hues, crisp whites and off-blacks in the shadows.

Although different in styles, the grades feel like a set whilst remaining fun and interesting.
